Computer Club is a live‑electronics and hardware‑driven club night based in Leeds, curated around experimentation, improvisation, and the intersection of sound, visuals, and code. It’s not just another DJ night, our ambition is to foreground the process of creation itself: modular synthesis, live coding, hardware rigs, AV systems, and generative visuals all play a crucial role in the experience.

The idea emerged from a community of electronic musicians, coders, and AV artists who were frustrated with the binary between “live show” and “DJ set.”
We wanted a space where you could see the machines, the patches, the feedback loops, the hacks, rather than concealing them behind turntables or DJ software

Our guiding values:
Transparency and Process: We encourage artists to expose their setup, patches, code, signal flow, so the audience can see the performance unfold, not just the result.
Inclusivity and Accessibility: We want the event to feel safe, diverse, and open. It’s important to us that people from marginalized backgrounds, or simply those new to electronic music, feel welcome. For example, we enforce safer‑spaces policies and anti-discrimination practices.
DIY Bent: We lean on grassroots community, local talent, and experimental sound rather than chasing commercial or formulaic bookings.
Sensory Immersion: It’s not just music. Visuals and generative graphics are integral. The visuals are not mere decoration but co‑performers, responding to audio and sometimes controlled live.
